The HIV Implementers Meeting is a meeting for program implementers to share lessons learned and best practices in the scale-up of HIV/AIDS programs. The theme for this year’s gathering of stakeholders was “Scaling Up Through Partnerships: Overcoming Obstacles to Implementation.”
HWWK Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program Officer George Khisa made a poster presentation on “Sustaining OVC Support Structures in Urban Slums.”
Former HWWK consultant Kristina Grabbe delivered an oral presentation about HIV prevalence in rural areas based partly on the work of HWWK’s program outlet in Makindu town.
The latter abstract was co-authored by Geraldine Musango, Finance Assistant at HWWK’s Makindu town outlet, known as Makindu Centre of HOPE.
